Nourish- Day 4 of the Self-Care Challenge

Originally, I was going to post a recipe for a Filipino dish I made for my son. But, I realized that while I really love food, it didn’t feel particularly nourishing. Comforting, yes, but not fulfilling.

I’ve been feeling kind of out of sorts the last week or so. Like I can’t get calm or settled. I’ve been trying to eat right, move my body, hydrate, and rest. The only thing I could think of is that I haven’t been creative.

I have an extensive art background and it’s been a few weeks since I’ve done anything creative.

Today, I decided to bring out my beads and play.

I used to make jewelry for a living. I haven’t made jewelry in a while but since getting into yoga and finding my path, I’ve felt like making jewelry again.

This is a set of prayer beads (or a mala). I used waxed cord, wood beads, amethyst and agate stones, and a cute teal tassel.

I also made some chakra bracelets. One for me and one for my husband.

I really enjoyed making these. I want to get back into selling jewelry and art. I miss it. And this made me miss it even more.

How did you nourish yourself today?
